2005: Was 2-4 with a 6.03 ERA in nine starts and 13 overall appearances. Twirled six scoreless innings, striking out a career-high seven, in combining on a shutout of Morehead (5/4). Earned his first win of the season with six innings of solid work, allowing two unearned runs on five hits and two walks, fanning four against MSU (4/27). Twirled a scoreless eighth, striking out one in win at Houston (4/10). Tossed two strong innings, allowing a run in win at WKU (4/5). Retired the side in order in the ninth against #1 Tulane (3/26a). Made 2005 debut one year to the day after his last outing after Tommy John surgery shut him down last season. 2004: Sat out the season with a medical redshirt. Made three appearances, two of which were starts before requiring Tommy John surgery. Gave up one earned in three innings against SDSU(2/21) in his college debut. Picked up the win against Illinois State(2/28), striking out five in 6.2 frames.
High School: Del Norte (Moriarty, New Mexico). Lettered in baseball for three years playing shortstop and pitching. Named All-State his senior year. Was an All-District shortstop three years, and pitcher for two years. Hit .570 with 15 doubles, six home runs and four steals, while logging a 5-3 record with a 1.47 ERA and 70 strikeouts as a pitcher.
