Biography
William Cornelison is from Woodbury, Tennessee, which is located about an hour southeast of Nashville. He possesses a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Legal Studies from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University. He is a huge sports fan and has almost four decades of experience as a basketball player and coach. He has played and coached at various levels. Coach Cornelison spent 10 years coaching in a youth league in his home- town of Woodbury and another 15 years coaching in another youth league in the middle Tennessee area where he also served on the Board of Directors. Coach Cornelison also has coached at the AAU level. He started a travel team organization in 2013, the Tennessee Storm, which consisted of high school boys that competed in tournaments of organizations such as AAU, USBA, and YBOA. The Storm operated from 2013 to 2016 and during that time through his efforts and player development, over 20 young men received college scholarships to play at the next level and one former player is currently playing in the ABA. Coach Cornelison and the Storm have been invited to compete all over the continental United States, Hawaii, Puerto Rico as well as Internationally in Belgium. Coach Cornelison has won numerous championships and has also coached the Storm organization at nationals. Coach Cornelison was selected as Head Coach in 2016 of a national program, to compete against International competition in London, England. His goal is the same now as when he coached the Storm and that is to help players get an opportunity to continue their playing career at the next level by landing players contract opportunities around the globe to allow them to fulfill their dream. In his spare time, Coach Cornelison enjoys watching and attending sporting events and studying the martial art of Wado-Ryu Karate. Coach Cornelison is married to his wife of 23 years, Shannon and they have three children, MaKayla, Matthew, and Joseph.
