Biography

Mark completed the Athlete Management Certification from Sports Management Worldwide in 2014. He is excited to join Sports Management Worldwide due to the company's vision to evolve the sports agent industry without compromising our integrity or that of the clients. Mark's goal is not only to provide excellent representation to all of his clients, but to also make a positive impact on their lives, and help them reach their sports career goals and their long term goals in life.

As an Agent Advisor, Mark has been mentored by Dr. Lynn Lashbrook and met all the requirements of becoming a SMWW Agent Advisor in 2014. This includes agent relations and player association legalities, contract negotiation, endorsements, sponsorships, ethics, collective bargaining agreements, draft preparation, marketing and recruiting. It is his obligation and mission to maximize his client's worth both on and off the playing field. He takes a fully integrated approach to his client's wealth, personal life, career, and post career challenges with the goal to simplify and enhance their life by serving as their primary contact. Focusing on everything from financial advisory assistance to addressing their lifestyle needs as he works closely with the Sports Management Worldwide team. This is how he allows his athletes to focus on their career on the field while he handles things off the field. Mark believes that it is imperative to abide by the regulations of all players associations, as well as state, federal and the NCAA. His goal is to establish long term relationships based on honesty, trust and integrity for all his clients.

Mark is a God-fearing man who is taught spiritually by Ministerial and business visionary, entrepreneurial trailblazer, altruistic philanthropist, and spiritual shepherd to millions around the globe, Bishop Thomas Dexter (T.D.) Jakes, Sr. Bishop Jakes pastors what Christianity Today calls "one of America’s fastest growing mega-churches." The Potter’s House, is a multiracial, nondenominational church with 50-plus active outreach ministries. Mark has been a member of The Potter’s House since 2001.

As a working professional Mark is a seasoned merchandising expert with over 20 years of experience designing and styling merchandising presentations for prestigious designers and upscale retail stores, including Giorgio Armani, Ermenegildo Zegna, Calvin Klein and Saks Fifth Avenue. Mark is also a creative Visual Merchandiser who has a passion for achieving artistic perfection, which results in improved sales and product performance. An accomplished Styling Supervisor whose work has been seen on Fox TV (where he dressed Terry Bradshaw, Chris Collinsworth, Howie Long and James Brown for Ermenegildo Zegna), in GQ magazine and the Louis of Boston Magazine, among many other media sources

Mark played several sports growing up as a kid, (Baseball, Football, Basketball and Tennis), but decided his sophomore year in high school to focus on his tennis career. He was able to achieve a state ranking of 6th by the end of his senior year. Mark then decided to attend the University of Oklahoma and contacted the legendary coach Jerry Keen (who coached 12 Big 8 conference team champions and 83 individual champions as the Sooners head coach from 1964 to 1987). Keen said he had already given out all the scholarships for the year, but Mark could play in a tournament in hopes of making the team as a "walk on". Mark reached the final of the tournament and achieved that goal, but his year was cut short due to an ankle injury. Mark still plays today and follows the ATP and WTA tours. Mark has also taught tennis part time at his local country club.
