Biography
Many children in West Africa, especially Ivory Coast (Cote d’Ivoire) lean on soccer as a means of making a name for themselves. This was no different for Hamidou Sidibe. Kicking soccer balls on the hot sand and on the wet grass is where he developed a passion for teamwork and togetherness. Dreaming of becoming a professional soccer player, Hamidou had to comprehend the importance of teamwork. “Teamwork makes the dream work” is a phrase often used on the Ivory Coast playing field. After gaining his high school diploma, Hamidou then received a certificate from BTS in Business Communications. Following his transition to New York City in 2014, Hamidou attended Borough Of Manhattan Community College and attained an associate degree in Business Administration. After learning the business aspect of sports and the role business plays in soccer, Hamidou realized his passion aligned well with the career path he desired.
As an SMWW Agent Advisor, Hamidou has successfully been mentored by SMWW International Director John Print and Sky Andrew and met all the requirements of becoming an SMWW Agent Advisor. Including agent regulations and player association legalities, contract negotiation, endorsements, sponsorships, ethics, collective bargaining agreements, draft preparation, marketing, and recruiting. Hamidou is trained to help athletes prepare for their sports careers by keeping them focused and on the path of success they choose to follow. Assisting them with understanding the skills, knowledge, and perseverance required to be successful as a professional athlete. Hamidou understands a healthy relationship between an agent and his clients is important for the success of both parties! Although Hamidou didn’t achieve his dream of becoming a soccer player, he is now in the position to help younger athletes succeed
