Biography
Craig has earned a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia State University in 2000 GPA 2.9, and graduated in 2004, with an MBA with specialization in Criminal Justice Administration from Touro University International GPA 3.555, Craig has completed all the core courses for a Doctoral of Business Administration (DBA) with specialization in Leadership at Walden University GPA 3.888 and did not complete the dissertation due to his Post 911 funds were expended. Craig has chosen to put his DBA aside to pursue an additional career in the sports management arena. Craig has completed the Athlete Management Course and the General Manager and Scouting Course at Sports Management Worldwide. Craig is a licensed Minister.
Craig joined the Marine Corps in 1984, and successfully completed Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina at the age of 17. After Recruit Training, Craig transferred to the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia, and worked as an Administrative Clerk until 1986 when he was transferred to the Marine Security Battalion, and served as Marine Embassy Security Guard with the Department of State at the American Embassies in Calcutta, India and Lisbon, Portugal.
During Craig’s military career he has served; in a variety of positions: Administration Chief with the 8th Motor Transport Battalion at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; in 1990, Desert Storm/Shield, Saudi Arabia War; as a Senior Drill Instructor at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina in 1991; as Administrative Chief/Officer Candidate School Instructor, Academic Chief, Test Evaluation Chief at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia in 1993; as Administrative Chief at Headquarters Recruiting Station, Charleston, West Virginia in 1998; and as an Occupational Safety and Health Specialist/Chief at Marine Corps Logistic Base in Barstow, California in 2000. Finally, in June 2004, Craig retired as a Gunnery Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal and Navy Commendation Medal.
In 2008, Craig came to the United States Housing and Urban Development Department as an MBA Fellow and is currently working in the Fort Worth Regional Office, Office of Field Support Services, Project Management Division as a Senior Project Manager.
