Biography

Alex Van Dyke, SMWW Agent Advisor: At the University of Nevada Reno, Alex was the University's all time leading receiver, breaking 3 NCAA records; receptions (129), receiving(1,854) and all-purpose yards (3,100) and is a member of the University of Nevada Reno Hall Of Fame.  Alex walked away from UNR with 1994-1995 All-American Wide Receiver honors as well. After graduating in 1996, Alex Van Dyke became the highest NFL draft pick ever to come out of the University of Nevada Reno; being selected by the New York Jets as the 1st pick (31st overall) in the second round of the 1996 NFL Draft.  His NFL Agent was Dr. Lynn Lashbrook. He went on to play five years in the NFL, where he played with the N.Y. Jets ('96-'98), the Philadelphia Eagles ('99-'00) and the Oakland Raiders ('01-'02).  During his professional football career, Alex had the opportunity to line up with other great receivers such as Keyshawn Johnson and Wayne Chrebet with the Jets, Charles Johnson & Torrence Small with the Eagles, and Jerry Rice & Tim Brown with the Raiders. After a successful professional football career, Alex utilized his background and experience to open a Going Vertical; an athletic and cardio enhancement training facility in Sacramento, California. Dr. Lynn Lashbrook and Sports Management Worldwide has been active in helping Alex formulate his transition into the business world first as owner of Going Vertical and now as an SMWW Agent Advisor.  Opened in 2004, Alex Van Dyke's Going Vertical is a state-of-the-art training facility with nearly 8,000 sf of training space located in Sacramento, California. They train athletes of all sports and all ages to improve overall athleticism and cardiovascular in four disciplines: Speed, Agility, Power and Cardio. Their programs are designed for the individual who is at the top of their game looking for that extra edge, as well as the beginner or improving individual hoping to achieve a more important role on their team.
